Proxim's ORiNOCO 11b/g PC Card delivers the utmost in mobile convenience and performance, so that you can move easily between 802.11 networks at work, home, and in public spaces. Throughput five higher than 802.11b speeds network response times and supports bandwidth-intensive applications. Fully compliant with all 802.11 standards, the 11b/g PC Card delivers proven high performance for a broad range of applications and host computer systems.

The card is shipped hardware-ready for upgrade to Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security. An easy-to-use utility is provided for quick, simple connections. Multiple security levels are provided with 802.1x authentication. The Gold version offers encryption up to 152-bit WEP, allows the user to set an unlimited number of user profiles, and includes Transmit Power Control to improve performance for high security and high interference environments.
