The most widely used cluster system in the world, the Acceleport C/X System is a cost-effective, highly scalable solution for configuring multiuser systems. The C/X System consists of an intelligent PCI host adapter card plus a C/CON Concentrator offering sixteen surge-protected EIA-232 ports. Expansion is painless - just add concentrators. One C/X Adapter can support up to 128 serial ports through a single slot. Concentrators can be located up to 1,000 feet from the host. This distance advantage is used extensively for connecting multiple point-of-sale devices. The Acceleport C/X 16 includes a PCI Card, a Concentrator box, and a cable to connect the two.
