The AccelePort XR 4-Port PCI Serial Adapter is a modem-ready, high-performance serial adapter that provides high-speed connectivity for speeds up to 921.6Kbps. The unit features a 32-bit PCI architecture and (1) DB-25 serial connector for connection with either an (8) port RJ-45 connector box or an (8) connector DB-25 I/O box (each must be purchased separately). It further features surge protection on each EIA-232 port and a 32-bit IDT RISC processor for reliable throughput as well as a large memory buffer for enhanced data management. Full driver support for a wide array of operating systems is provided including Microsoft, Linux, Novell, SCO, and Sun Microsystems.
