AEP SureWare A-Gate is an SSL VPN appliance that provides remote users with authenticated secure remote access to internal applications from any browser.
Remote access to corporate applications and resources has been available for many years using IPSec, leased line and toll-free numbers to name a few. They provide a solution that is proven and secure but do not meet the requirements of changing work practices and technologies.
By requiring only a standard browser, with AEP SureWare A-Gate the remote user can use any available device to access available applications. This approach means no client installation is necessary, delivering a true people-to-application/resource, clientless, low cost VPN.
Using the A-Gate Anywhere feature set, users can connect to Web-based services and applications using a standard Internet browser from any available Internet connection. A-Gate Anywhere provides clientless secure authenticated access and secure extranet to applications enabled on AEP SureWare A-Gate, for example an e-mail system or network server using Windows Terminal Services.
