The Acceleport 8em is an expandable, intelligent serial communications product designed to deliver high-performance workgroup computing at the lowest price per port, and deliver optimum data speeds up to 155.2Kbps. This serial communication is a cost-effective, and easy-to-use way to share resources. All you have to do is put the host adapter card into your computer, connect the Ports module, and then run the wires to the remote systems. It runs on the following Operating Systems: Windows NT 3.51, and 4.0, Novell NetWare 3.x, 4.x and IntranetWare, Windows 95, SCO UNIX, UNIX System 5, OS/2 and DOS.

This modular system consists of an intelligent host adapter card plus an 8em Ports module with (8) RJ-45 ports, and a five foot cable to connect Ports module to host adapter card. Each connected system requires a cable and adapter card.
