The Hard Disk Drive Retention Service allows customers the ability to keep their hard drives for security reasons should the drive fail or become defective during the warranty period. It's ideal if your requirement is to retain defective storage devices due to classified or sensitive data.It prevents you from incurring the expense from not returning defective hard drives. HDD may be purchased at the time of hardware purchase or until 30 days prior to the expiration of the base warranty of the hardware. Coverage continues for duration of system limited warranty, even if hard drive has been replaced.

This product upgrades the base 1-year onsite warranty to 3-year onsite plus HDD Rentention Service.
