The Brother's MFC-7840W 5-in-1 Monochrome Laser Multi-Function Center is a fax, printer, scanner, copier, and PC-fax with built in networking all in one lightweight machine with a small footprint. As a fax machine, the MFC-7840W features a 2 second per page transmission, 33.6K bps Super G3 Fax Modem, 600-page fax memory, 208 station Auto Dialing, Caller ID, FAX/TEL Switch, QuickScan at 2.5 sec/page, PC faxing and distinctine ring detection.
As a printer, the MFC-7840W gives you true 2400x600 dpi laser output with 20-page per minute printing. It has 32MB of memory, and prints up to legal size and transparencies. It works with Windows and Mac OS. The copy functions of the device include sorting, N1 functions, a poster function and copy enlargement and reduction.
The scanning function is is capable of 600x2400 optical and 9600 interpolated dpi scanning into your PC. It includes ScanSoft PaperPort for document management software, Omnipage OCR software, and Presto! PageManager for Mac.
