The Posh POS808 external dual cash drawer wedge is a serial/parallel port monitoring device which is used to open cash drawers. It triggers a selectable 12V/24V pulse to open cash drawers, which are wired for Epson, Star and Citizen devices. By monitoring all characters across the selected PC port, the POS808 can be used to trigger two independent RJ-12 cash drawer ports, each with their own trigger sequence (up to seven characters).

The POS808 is a compact, software-configuration external wedge that is installed between a serial or parallel port device powered by an external power supply. It is also OS independent once configured (configuration software provided for use in Windows 95/98/2000). It is also designed with false-trigger protection, os it will not accidentally open the cash drawer on power-up or power-down.
