Microsoft is introducing Medialess License Kits (MLK) for selling 2007 Microsoft Office OEM licenses in the system builder channel. This helps you simplify your operations and provide a great out of the box experience for your customers.
Medialess License Kits contain suite specific product keys which enable end customers to "unlock" either Microsoft Office Basic 2007, Small Business 2007, or Professional 2007. These kits also contain licensing information for the end user. Once you have installed the master image from your OPK Master Kit you include the MLK in the box with the new PC. The MLK does not contain any backup media.
Medialess License Kits need to be sold within ninety days of purchase of the system.
Office 2007 Home & Student helps people easily create great-looking documents, worksheets and presentations, as well as manage notes and information at home. It offers improved menus and tools, enhanced graphics and formatting capabilities, new time-management tools, and greater reliability and security.
Although the new Medialess License Kits do not contain media, customers who purchase 2007 Microsoft Office system software with a new PC are eligible to receive backup media for up to 90 days after purchase. Instructions on how to order backup media is printed on the Medialess License Kit. In addition, customers can create their own backup media if they have Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Enterprise, or Windows Vista Ultimate.
