Share-UPS Interface Expander, 8-Port - AP9207

Share-UPS provides multiple server, multiple operating system shutdown and out-of-band UPS management. It supports connection of up to (8) servers to a single UPS and issuance of UPS shutdown comunication messages to each server through a local hardwired serial connection. When power fails, Share-UPS notifies (via APC software or cable kits, available separately) all the connected servers of power problems and ensures that all servers are shutdown before placing the UPS in battery conservation mode. When used with Power Chute software (available separately), Share-UPS permits centralized UPS management across operating system platforms. It also has support for SNMP management of a UPS with multiple servers (an APC Powernet SNMP adapter is required, available separately), and it supports remote LANs with out-of band modem links.
