You’ve connected expensive hardware to your network, so it only makes sense to protect your investment. The Black Box Cat6 Protected Patch Cord combines stranded twisted-pair wiring with data-line protection to keep your sensitive networks running.

Measuring 10 feet (3 m) long and terminated with RJ-45 connectors, the cord helps ensure the reliable operation of local networks that rely on high-speed data transmission over copper.

Installed between the incoming communication lines and the input/output port of the equipment you want to protect, the cord provides Ethernet 10Base-T, 100Bse-TX, CDDI, 100VG, and other LAN interface technologies with both surge and transient voltage protection.

In addition to lightning-induced surges, the Cat6 Protected Patch Cord guards against AC power interference, electrostatic discharge, and ground loop energies. It protects eight pins in common and differential mode.

The patch cable features enhanced modular plugs for superior performance. A special latch on the plugs prevents snags when pulling the cable. The cord works with both T568A and TS568B wiring schemes for Cat6 and Cat5e requirements.
