This high-capacity, high-performance backup solution for Novell networks provides housing for up to four DLT Drives, giving you up to 280GB of fault tolerant (RAID 0 with compression) storage in a single unit. When used with Computer Associates JETserve for NetWare, transfer rates of up to 100GB per hour can be achieved. It can typically transfer data at a rate of 70GB/hr with four drives. The DLT Tape Array II, Model 4 comes complete with four 35/70GB DLT Drives providing up to 210GB of fault tolerant (RAID 5 with compression) storage. Two DLT Arrays can be combined on one server providing up to 560GB of high availability storage capacity. Its included Rack-mountable array cabinet (5U height) supports up to four DLT drives; two cabinets can be combined into a single array for support of up to eight DLT drives; modular design enables gradual addition of more performance and capacity when needed. The array provides a 160 ips Tape Speed, 175 ips Rewind Speed and features an average file access time of 60 seconds and an average Load time of 48 seconds. It's supported through Compaq Insight Manager, providing alerts to the administrator when tape status changes or when rewrite/reread thresholds are exceeded.
