The days of needing three different machines to do three separate tasks are long gone. The Brother DCP-9040CN Multifunction Unit gives you a network printer, a copier and a scanner, in one compact design that won't take up valuable office space. It's compatible with both PCs and Macs. It offers a 250-sheet paper capacity and up to 50 sheets in the multi-purpose tray. It can hold up to 150 sheets in the output tray. For connectivity, you have a choice between the Ethernet and USB 2.0 interfaces. It comes with 64MB RAM, and the LCD display shows you all the pertinent information.
The color printer features a 2400 x 600 dpi resolution and can print up to 21ppm of letter size paper in both monochrome and color. Te copier makes up to 17cpm and can reduce/enlarge documents from 25-400 percent. It can also sort multiple copies.
The color scanner features an interpolated resolution of 19200dpi, a maximum optical resolution of 1200 x 2400dpi and 48-bit color scans. It comes with OCR software for both PCs and Macs.
