OPTI-6100 DS1M Module STS-1 into 28 DSX-1

The STM-1 IR ADM Optical Multiplexer Module (OMM3VIR) terminates an STM-1 fiber circuit to feed the OPTI-6100 chassis.The OMM3VIR module converts the optical signal into digital electrical signals for distribution through the backplane wiring to the tributary modules.

The OPTI-6100 DS1 Tributary Module VT (DS1VM2) multiplexes/demultiplexes one STS-1 into 28 VT1.5-mapped DS1 circuits. These circuits are made available through the champ connectors on the back panel of the OPTI-6100 chassis and are usually routed to a DSX panel.

This product terminates the OC-12 fiber circuit(s) to feed the OPTI-6100 chassis. It operates in Add/Drop mode (Unidirectional Path Switched Ring) or Terminal mode.
