The 3Com AirProtect Wireless Intrusion Prevention System Sensor 5750, with the AirProtect Wireless Intrusion Prevention System Engine 6100, comprises the AirProtect Enterprise Wireless Intrusion Prevention System. This Wireless Intrusion Prevention System (WIPS) helps protect your enterprise network and users from unauthorized wireless access.

Unsecure deployment of Wi-Fi Access Points (APs), or rogue APs, can open up your network to potential hackers, exposing confidential information about your business, customers, products and services. And users connecting to incorrect APs, whether internal rogue ones, or those external to your network, may lead to additional vulnerabilities.

The AirProtect Wireless Intrusion Prevention System Sensor 5750 offers One 10BaseT/100BaseTX IEEE 802.3af-compatible PoE port.

Compatibility Notes	In addition to the Sensor 5750, an AirProtect Wireless Intrusion Prevention System Engine 6100 is required for a complete AirProtect Enterprise Wireless Intrusion Prevention System. For those installations where Power over Ethernet (PoE) is not available, the 3Com Power over Ethernet Single-Port Midspan Solution (3CNJPSE) must be used.
