Wi-Net Detector - TS950A

Want to know the best place to put your wireless components? This lightweight detector gives you a clear picture and is a must-have for installers and operators of wireless networks who need to identify and configure transmission equipment at a site. The Wi-Net Detector picks up all IEEE 802.11a, b, and g signals and provides critical information about the location of components. It constantly scans for wireless transmissions, and lists and logs those received. The full alphanumeric LCD shows information and clearly displays signal strength graphically as a lighted bar and as a percentage. Easy to use with navigation buttons and screen prompts, an audible network pickup signal alerts you to the presence of signals. It displays encryption conditions associated with each wireless component to let you know what security is in place, and it lists each signal as either an access point or an ad-hoc or a twin network type signal. Other features include a PING function whcih enables you to access IP addresses and determine an Internet link condition, negotiation with network DHCP for component ID and display of router, DNS, and target info. And its auto-off function preserves battery life.
