Network Tone Generator - TS151

The Network Tone Generator sends a tone along any 4, 6, or 8-wire RJ-11 or RJ-45 cable. The pen-size probe, an inductive receiver, then emits its locator tone when it touches the tip of the wire or even just the jacket. You can use the Network Probe to trace the tone through the cable, wiring bundle, and wiring closet. Or you can locate the other end of the cable when the Generator applies a tone through the cable.

The tones travel up to 2000 feet (609.6 m), depending on whether the cable is a continuous run or if it connects to punchdown blocks, patch panels, or wallplates.
