Gefen's DVI Splitter is a stackable distribution hub that sends the same DVI graphics source to two or more DVI-based digital screens (flat panels or projectors). It accommodates multiple digital video displays, and when multiple DVI Splitters are connected together, they can be used to create a 1x4 or a 1x6 distribution (one DVI input/multiple DVI display outputs). When multiple units are stacked you can switch between all the inputs into all the outputs with the remote control. (The configuration of stacking multiple units must be done by Gefen professionals.)

The DVI Splitter is connected with a DVI (male to male) cable from the DVI graphic source to the DVI Splitter input. There are two DVI outputs in each module. DVI output one is the primary connection and is used for the main display. DVI output two follows the main display. The DVI Splitter uses a unique DVI Bus technology to connect multiple splitters without sacrificing a DVI output connection, and it maintains the highest DVI single link video resolution (1920x1200 @ 60Hz). It supports the DDWG standard for DVI-compliant monitors, and installs in minutes. The DVI displays attached to the splitter must be able to run at the same native resolution.

Note: The DVI Splitter will only output a DVI-D (DVI digital) signal. If you use a DVI-I cable, it will only pass the digital signal. Using a DVI-I to VGA adapter off output will not pass an analog signal. A DVI-D to VGA converter is required to convert to an analog signal.
